NCSOFT recently hosted a Launching Showcase event, where they addressed player inquiries and unveiled this significant release date. Pre-registration for the game has already commenced; however, it is limited to South Korea due to the requirement of a Korean phone number for registration.

In the vast and immersive world of Throne and Liberty, the environment dynamically changes, influencing gameplay. Players have the freedom to wield two different types of weapons, allowing for diverse gameplay and the creation of various skill combinations. Throne and Liberty's monetization strategy is centered around four key elements:

1. Battle Pass: The Battle Pass offers rewards and achievements as your character progresses. It features two passes - the initial pass and a Growth Record. These passes predominantly contain cosmetic items and consumables designed to aid character development. The developers have carefully curated these rewards to avoid any pay-to-win elements.

2. Skins & Cosmetics: Cosmetic costumes and equipment items are available, which do not influence the character's stats. Players can personalize these costumes by customizing patterns and colors.

3. Auction: Player-to-player exchanges are facilitated through a dedicated trading platform using the premium currency, Lucent.

In Throne and Liberty, players will encounter "Amitoy" dolls, which serve as companions that assist in gathering loot dropped by mobs and healing the player's character. Additionally, character transformations are introduced to enhance travel within the game's expansive world. It's important to note that these elements cannot be obtained through gacha systems or lootboxes and will be available as cosmetic items. Purchased versions do not confer any special advantages and will be similar to those attainable within the game.

The game offers collections of dolls and transformations, completing which will grant players beneficial buffs. These collections can be accomplished using both free and premium dolls and transformations.

To cater to player feedback and enhance the gaming experience, the developers have addressed the issue of automatic combat elimination (Astral-Hunting). This feature, initially suggested by the South Korean community, allows for a reduction in the amount of experience required to attain higher character levels. Even players who engage for just 1 to 2 hours per day can now reach the maximum character level within a month.

Moreover, the character level requirements for specific activities have been adjusted to ensure a balanced character development path. The combat system has undergone a comprehensive overhaul, aiming for increased dynamism. The intention behind these changes is to encourage players to focus on battle strategy rather than rapidly executing button combinations.

The game incorporates two distinct types of incursions: PvPvE and PvE. The significant distinction lies in the reward system, where PvE raid rewards are non-transferable and directly linked to the player. This approach is geared to prevent the dominance of individual guilds and promote fair opportunities for character growth across the entire server.

The ongoing refinement of the user interface is a key focus area for the developers. Feedback from players who tested Throne and Liberty highlighted concerns about the interface being "too mobile." Efforts are underway to optimize the UI for PC and console platforms. Interestingly, the initial plan to release the game on mobile platforms was abandoned, leading to a fundamental shift in game mechanics and content.

In terms of updates, players can anticipate three significant updates each year. The first update, scheduled for release three to four months after the game's launch, will introduce a new mountainous region known as Talandre. Some of the in-game locations will be cross-server, creating competition among up to 12 servers for control. This competitive gameplay is supplemented by the introduction of "Guild Alliances" and "Top Level Guilds."
