General Patch Overview
The Throne and Liberty update 1.1.0 went live on October 3rd. If you’re a UK player like me, the update started at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to last approximately 6 hours. The update brings bug fixes, UI improvements, various settings adjustments, and much more to enhance your experience in Cesium.
Here are the highlights of the update broken down by platform:
Changes for All Platforms (PC, Xbox, PS5)
- Boss Effects: Boss mechanic markers should now appear more reliably, even with high visual effect counts.
- UI Fixes:
- Guild status will no longer display an erroneous “#” appended to the text.
- The "congratulate package" UI will now properly disappear after being claimed.
- Fixed an issue where the controller would become unresponsive after equipping an outfit in the Mirror Boutique.
- Fixed controller navigation issues when searching for guilds in the guild menu.
- Settings:
- Friend requests will no longer appear when privacy settings restrict them, even after relaunching the game.
- Localization:
- Several untranslated strings in game text and voice-over have been corrected.
Xbox Series X/S and PS5 Specific Changes
For console players, here are the additional changes and fixes:
- Friend Requests: Friend requests can now be accepted even if the player is offline or in another world area. Previously, this caused major issues when trying to add friends, especially after switching world servers.
- Xbox Series X/S Graphics:
- Resolution of the world map has been increased. While the difference may be subtle, it enhances the experience for players.
- Guild Settings:
- Fixed behavior of some UGC settings related to guilds.
- Privacy:
- Players with restricted privacy settings will no longer see blank whisper chats from blocked players.
PS5 Specific Changes
- Graphics Optimization:
- Screen tearing issues on the PS5 have been addressed. While it was an annoying issue, it seems to be much improved with this update.
